Listen to how the Sing for Joy Widows home at Lighthouse Christian Camp has made an impact in the lives of their residents. Ms. Jane and Ms. Valerie share their camp experiences and what Sing for Joy means to them.
"Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.”
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Based upon the scriptural mandate of caring for widows, the goal and mission of “Sing for Joy” is to offer widows safe, independent retirement living with unlimited opportunities to serve in ministry.
There are 12 million widows living in the U.S. and over half of those earn an average income of $550.00 a month or less. Many are destitute, lonely, feel unloved, and forgotten by society. The Sing for Joy Widow’s Home ministry,on the beautiful campus of Lighthouse Christian Camp, is based upon a scriptural mandate of caring for widows.
What a tremendous encouragement and inspiration our widows have been to the children, staff and adults who are involved in Lighthouse Christian Camp Ministries.
Many families are in crisis. Parents and their children are heading in the wrong direction. Today, more than ever children need to be taught about a loving Savior who will never leave them or forsake them.
Will you help turn things around?
For just $180 you can send a child to camp and give them the opportunity to hear the gospel and make the decision to turn to Christ.
