C.A.T.C.H. - Caring Adults touching children's hearts

“Caring Adults Touching Children’s Hearts”  Fishing Day is a joint event held each September. Working with local fishermen, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the TN Wildlife Resources Agency, Lighthouse Christian Camp selects children to come out and enjoy a morning of fishing on Center Hill Lake. Each year thirty (30) boats and experienced, dedicated drivers with fishing tackle, are needed to each take (2) children and a camp counselor out on the lake fishing for 2 1/2 hours. Sixty (60) excited children attend and many get the opportunity to go fishing for the first time.

Have a boat? Love to fish?

Fisherman from all over Middle TN participate in the event by bringing their boats and taking out the children for a special day of catch and release. After fishing, the children and volunteers return for a wonderful picnic lunch and an awards program. Each child receives a C.A.T.C.H. T - shirt, a special certificate from the Corps, a fishing trophy and their very own fishing rod and reel and fishing gear.
